Dennis Carl Jorgensen was born on April 11, 1951, to Carl and Irene Mae (Meissner) Jorgensen.  He grew up at Huron and graduated from Huron High School in 1970.

During high school, Denny worked at Harold’s Drive-In Restaurant. He learned construction from his dad, and together they worked as Jorgensen Construction,  building houses.  Denny could build just about anything, but would leave the plumbing to a plumber.  For the past eleven years, Denny worked for Olson Construction.

Denny took pride in his work and was very particular about having his things in order.  He was very reliable and if you gave him a job to do, it would get done and done right.

Denny was a reserved, gentle, quiet and shy man.  He was also a very neat, tidy and immaculate housekeeper.  Denny liked to ride motorcycles, and enjoyed dogs and animals.

Family was important to Denny, he enjoyed eating out with his dad at the Plains, and having lunch with his mom.  Denny adored his daughter, Sarah.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Grateful for having shared his life are his daughter, Sarah Jorgensen of Maize, Kansas; his sister, Terri and her husband, Don Lappe of Wahpeton, North Dakota; his niece, Kimberly and her husband, Ritch Dieger; his nephew, Bret Lappe; and three great nieces, Caitlin, Rachel and Tayra.
