Dale Eichstadt obit photoDale Eichstadt, age 67, of Wolsey, died August 30, 2006.  His funeral service was at 10:30 AM, Monday, September 4th, at the St. John’s Lutheran Church, with the Rev. L. Scott Spiehs officiating.  Burial was in the St. John’s Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Dale Raymond Eichstadt was born August 13, 1938, at Huron to Herman and Martha (Gogolin) Eichstadt. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church and was a member there all his life. Dale graduated from Wolsey High School in 1956 and married Delores Seeman on August 22, 1956, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Wolsey. Following their marriage they farmed all their life near Wolsey. Dale enjoyed his family, farming, going to truck sales and spending the winters in Arizona with his wife Delores.

Dale is survived by his wife, Delores of Wolsey; six children, Kevin (Laura) Eichstadt, of Huron, Marilyn (Dwight) Kruse, of Lake Preston, Rod (Kathy) Eichstadt, of Wolsey, Greg (Lana) Eichstadt, of Wolsey, Phillip (Julie) Eichstadt, of Aberdeen, and Stacey Eichstadt and his special friend Kerry Sorensen, of Avondale, AZ; eight grandchildren, Ashley (Josh) Cleveland, of Watertown, Jay Eichstadt, Herman Eichstadt, and Henry Eichstadt, all of Wolsey, Jordan Kruse, of Lake Preston, James (Joanna) Kruse, of Parker, and Jeff (Laurie) Kruse and Jason Kruse, of Brandon; eight great-grandchildren, Landon and Kaleb Cleveland, Cole and Kaylen Kruse, and Tyler, Katlyn, Lexi and Kassie Kruse; one sister, Dorothy Sibbers, of Huron; seven brothers, Robert (Mildred), of Huron, Richard, Fred (Caroline), Martin (Edith), and Paul (Kathryn), all of Wolsey, Mark (Jane), of Corpus Christi, TX, and Willis, of Monmouth, OR; two brothers-in-law, Gary (Kay) Seeman, of Wolsey, and Chuck (Nancy) Seeman, of Olympia, WA; three sisters-in-law, Iris Johnson, of Wolsey, LuAnn (Tony) Eichstadt, of Corpus Christi, TX, and Junellia (Melvin) Meisenhoelder, of Tripp.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Mary Alice in infancy; two sisters-in-law, Evelyn Eichstadt and Vanieda Eichstadt; a nephew, Andrew Eichstadt; a brother-in-law, Gerald Johnson; and his mother and father-in-law, Elmer and Lula Seeman.
