Craig Fuehrer obituary photoCraig Fuehrer, age 59, of Huron, died Friday, June 19, 2009, at the Huron Regional Medical Center. His memorial service was at 11:00 AM, Friday, July 3rd at Riverview United Methodist Church with the Rev. Barry Whipkey officiating.  Burial was in the Virgil Cemetery. 

Craig Fuehrer, the son of Melvin and Betty (Ramsell) Fuehrer, was born April 12, 1950, in Huron.   He attended grade school in Virgil and graduated from Huron High School.  Craig graduated from Northwest Iowa Vocational School where he had studied carpentry.  He was married to Judy Timperly Chaffins.

Craig worked in construction in Sioux Falls and for Barton’s Heating and Cooling in Huron for many years.  He also drove truck for Zip Feed and later for Aughenbaugh Farms.  He enjoyed listening to the Twins and Vikings games, and hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his three daughters, Lisa Fuehrer of Sioux Falls, Trisha and her husband Clay Ochsner, of Sioux Falls, and Kara and her husband Matt Wiegel, of Eugene, Oregon; one grandson, Jovan Wiegel; his parents, Melvin and Betty Fuehrer, of Huron; three brothers, Brent Fuehrer and his friend Patty Woodley, of Huron, Kyle and his wife Karen Fuehrer, of Sturgis, and Brice Fuehrer, of Sioux Falls; and three nieces and one nephew.  

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Albert and Elenora Fuehrer and Art and Ethel Ramsell.
