Clark D. Risetter

Clark D. Risetter age 55, of Huron, died Monday, October 1, 2012, at Huron Regional Medical Center.  His memorial service was at 2 PM Friday, October 5th, at Kuhler Funeral Home with Captain Eric Johnson officiating.  Burial was in the Wolsey Cemetery.

Clark Dixon Risetter was born August 8, 1957, at Huron, to Ordean and Blanche (Carney) Risetter.  He grew up in Wolsey and graduated from Wolsey High School in 1975.  Clark helped his parents with farming while he was young, but began working in road construction during the summers with his father while still in high school.  After high school graduation, he continued to work road construction until he had to discontinue working in 1989 due to ill health. 

On June 20, 1981, Clark married Lorry Lentz at Wolsey.

Clark enjoyed gardening, and collecting road construction toys.  He liked driving anywhere, but especially on vacations in the Black Hills and at Yellowstone National Park.  He also helped out his family by babysitting for his nephew, who particularly enjoyed dining on Clark’s specialty, macaroni and cheese with hot dogs. 

Clark is survived by his wife, Lorry of Huron; his mother-in-law, Francella Lentz of Huron; three brothers-in-law, Terry Lentz of Parkston, Kevin Lentz of Huron, and Charles (Penny) Lentz of Huron; two sisters-in-law, Cheryl Lentz of Huron and LaRae (Robert) Moreno of Brookings; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins.  

 He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Clinton and Kenneth, and one sister, Jeanette.
