Adeline E. Williams

Adeline E. Williams, age 84, of Huron, died Sunday, November 16, 2008, at the Sun Quest Health Care Center.  Her funeral service was 2:00 PM Thursday, November 20th at the Kuhler Funeral Home with Rev. David Reichel officiating.  Burial was in the Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery. 

Adeline E. Thompson was born August 16, 1924, to Joseph and Olga (Christianson) Thompson at Vang, North Dakota.  She grew up and attended school at Vang.

On June 30, 1947, Adeline married Stanley “Bill” Williams at Dresden, North Dakota.  Together they farmed at Vang until they moved to Clark in fall of 1956.  In 1964, they bought a farm by Raymond. Adeline and Bill were dorm parents at the State School at Redfield, she retired after twenty-one and a half years of service at the age of 62.  They retired at Huron.

Adeline was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church.  She enjoyed baking and cooking.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Marvin, Arthur and Earl Thompson; her daughter, Barbara Walter; and one great-grandson.

Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Bill of Huron; two grandchildren and their spouses, David and Tracy Hofer of Carpenter and Teresa and Mike Bemis of Minneapolis, Minnesota; five great-grandchildren, Derick (Cherri) Hofer of Carpenter, Ashley (Nate) Jessen of Redfield, Jaime Walter of Auburn, Washington, Hunter Bemis and Shelby Bemis both of Minneapolis; one great great-granddaughter, Kaylynn Hofer; son-in-law, Ronnie Walter of Auburn, Washington; and two sisters, Marian Raymer of Vancouver, Washington and Joyce Siegert of Neche, North Dakota.
